Magazine Rack Furniture
Magazine racks are an inventive way to display the magazines you have available for people to read so that they are on display rather then just piled in a heap on the coffee table. While you can spend money on a wide variety of magazine racks, there are some cheap, inventive and stylish racks which you can make yourself for next to nothing, assuming you have the right materials on-hand.
For individual magazines to be on display, a coat hanger can be folded in such a way that is can hang on the wall on it's own and support and display a magazine. Simply bend each corner so that it is pointing down at the ground below it and bring middle bar of the hangar up, so that it is straight across for four to six inches. The magazine can then sit in the grooves of the corners of the hangar and the hook of the hangar can hang on the wall.
With a pegboard section at your disposal, an inventive and cheap magazine hangar can be created. First, install your pegboard on your wall or against the wall so that it can't be easily knocked over or off---this may take wood screws and a few anchors depending on what you wall is made out of. Once that is secure, take hooks and bungee cords and stretch each hook between the holes in the pegboard so that the bungee is rather taut.
